I had dark brown hair and died it now its red!I want to die it back soon how long should I wait?

Please, please, please do not try to dye it at home again. I promise you, it will only cost you more money in the long run and further damage your hair because each time you color it, even if you are just trying to go darker, you lift out the color with ammonia bleach before depositing the desired color. The worst thing you can do is go pick a box with a pretty girl sporting the haircolor you want because #1 her hair was probably NOT dyed that color, and if it was it certainly was not with the product you hold in YOUR hands. The only way you can determine what color you will end up with is to really analyze the color you are starting with which is a very complicated process to understand...the easy version? You are now starting with bright red hair and that would have to be neutralized before even starting on this correction. Not for the home stylist! There IS a really, really easy fix and I promise you that not only will it work, but it will be beautiful...Use Redken Shades EQ color glossers, they have no ammonia, no bleach and are essentially a glossy luminous sheath that covers your hair. It is truly the best haircolor on the market. Instead of stripping and damaging your hair it actually conditions your hair and makes it slippery/silky like satin. It is, unfortunately, a salon only product...but not too expensive at 30-40 dollars every 12 weeks (3 months). I promise you, once you try it You will never go back. I am a natural blonde and I have been getting my hair done deep, deep, darkest espresso brown for 2 years now %26amp; I only use Shades EQ in a mix (sounds wierd but it is stunning...1/2 Espresso, 1/2 Moss, and a tiny splash of Blue Kicker to neutralize out any red tones) I get compliments daily on my shiny healthy hair. It's the best! P.S. My venture in to the salon to get my hair colored dark the first time was as an emergency fix because I'd used L'oreal Color Experte Multi-tonal in chocolate macaroon on my blonde hair and ended up with bright orange/red like pumpkin hair...I was devastated, and to make matters worse, my BOSS told me to get it fixed before coming back to my Federal job because it looked so bad. YIKES! Shades EQ fixed it in one trip!!!! Good luck %26amp; have fun as a Knockout brunette! P.S. you could even choose a funky color with a dark cherry, or dark plum tone to it if you dont want to go back to exactly your old color.

you HAVE to wait 2 weeks before re-dying your hair........because if u dont theres a great chance of your hair falling out!!!

I did exactly the same thing. The bad thing about red is that you have to wait till it grows out to dye it again because if you dye in back to brown it will just fade into red again. Either that or you can strip it but that fries and ruins your hair. Good Luck.

first, it's "dye" and "dyed"... maybe that's why your hair died...

hair grows 6 inches a year... so wait if you want. well... get a darker brown and dye it back again... what color do you want anyways?

you dont have to wait... do it now, its best to wait at least a couple days so your hair will absorb the color more when it is time to do it again
