I need some hair advice!?

I dyed my hair black about a month and a half ago. Since then it had lightened to a dark black/brown. Recently, I accidently used my Mom's BLONDE shampoo and now it's ended up being a red-brown, like a dark chestnut color. Because I've tried it before - if I dye my hair blonde, or try to bleach it, it will end up being a brassy red-color, like when you mix ketsup with a lot of water.(Gross I know).

Now, I want to dye my hair white, or as close as I can get to white. I've never tried dying my hair blonde/bleaching it with brown/red hair(like I have now) only when it was black and I wanted to strip the color.

Is there a way I can strip the colour in my hair to get it as close to white as I can in one sitting, instead of having to wait weeks between?

ur going to ruin ur hair. u should think of what color u realy want it instead of dying it to BLACK to WHITE. just my opinion

Doubt it...your hair will get extremely dry. brittle and break off.

Go to the salon!!!! DO NOT try to do something like that at home. I can guarantee that it will go wrong. They might actually say that they can't do it because it will damage the hair too much. Or they may suggest having highlights first.

Since your hair has been processed so much lately, it might be a good idea to give it a rest for a few more weeks. If you can't wait, however, I'd suggest going to the salon and having them do your hair in a double process. By having a professional do your color, you'll be less likely to ruin your hair.

Don't go to just any salon, however. Try to find experts in coloring hair, not just your neighborhood QuickCuts.

Go to a professional! You have already processed your hair recently, and another stressful chemical process like bleaching will break your hair into a frizzy mess that you'll have to grow out... for a long time.

Plus, hair that was just dyed black will not bleach to white in one process. A professional could get it close, but at the expense of your hair. I sat for 3 hrs once doing this very thing and still came out with orange/ yellow tints.

Stop putting chemicals in your hair, go to the store and buy some moisturizing shampoo and super softening conditioner, take a shower with them and don't blow dry your hair, iron it or curl it for a whole month. It'll fall out if you keep doing what you do. After your hair is healthy again, you can think about trying to die it. However, with black hair, I doubt you will ever get your hair to actually be white.
