You can actually achieve a nice look if you have more than one shade of blond in your hair. My suggestion (i've done my hair literally every shade and combo i can think of) would be to get a shade that is slightly darker than your original. I would stay away from the colors that have an orange or red base and go for a red that has a blue or purple base. The people at sally's will be able to direct you to the correct ones. The reason i suggest this is that reds, while they look very nice for a few weeks turn a tinny orange and it doesn't look so hot, so you will spend more time fixing the orange and frying your hair. Keep in mind that if you have roots, they will not be the same color in the end as the rest of your hair, you may have to blend them ahead of time. You should do this a min. of a week in advance and ONLY do the roots. After blending in the blond to the roots you will get a more even coloring.

After all is said and done, there is one essential for everyone who ever does their hair. It is called DUMB BLOND and i think it is in the Bed Head line of products. This is an intense conditioning treatment that will work wonders.
